In response to mounting concern over the upcoming flu season, the American Medical Association has published a new CPT code to report the administration of the H1N1 vaccine. It has also updated code 90663 to include the H1N1 vaccine.
90470 — H1N1 immunization administration (intramuscular, intranasal), including counseling when performed
90663 — Influenza virus vaccine, pandemic formulation, H1N1For more details read the press release on AMA's 2009 H1N1 Influenza Information Web site.
